Twin Cities Balboa Connection: a community of balboa dancers based in Minneapolis/St. Paul
Mission: to foster a Balboa community that is inclusive and honors the original spirit of this historic social dance
Balboa is… a swing dance from the 1930’s and ‘40s known for its close-embrace “hug-like” connection and fast shuffling footwork. It’s great for dancing to fast music while using much less energy than its lindy hop and collegiate shag cousins.
