Monthly House Parties
Once a month, one of TCBC’s members graciously hosts a balboa house party! The Balboa House Party is a gathering for balboa dancers and friends to have fun dancing and hanging out with each other. There is also a beginner balboa lesson before each house party, so you can jump right in if you're new! Experienced balboa dancers are encouraged to join the lesson to learn a new role or just get in some practice. After the lessons there’s 3 hours of DJ’d balboa-friendly swing music for your dancing and listening enjoyment. Field Trips
Occasionally, TCBC will host field trips at various locations or community events within the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul community. Field trips may be organized to encourage balboa dancing friends to attend one of our favorite haunts, like Sunday Brunch at Aster’s Cafe with Patty & The Buttons, Wednesday Swing Nights with Miss Shannon at the Eagles 34, Thursday Swing Night at the Wabasha Street Caves, or live music at one of our Twin Cities parks. While you may find balboa dancers wherever there’s hot, swinging jazz, our favorite local/weekly dance for balboa dancers and lindy hoppers is Monday nights at Rhythm Junction.
